She loved sharing and giving new experiences to others. Joan loved to travel and cook. She toured many of the major European cities including Communist Russia, and also enjoyed Hawaii and Greece. She loved Greek cuisine and never missed the yearly Greek Orthodox Church Festival.

South Dakota’s top two youth volunteers of the year, Maren Johnson, 17, of Watertown and Kadon Leddy, 12, of Stockholm, were honored in the nation’s capital last night for their outstanding volunteer service during the presentation of The 2012 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards.
